Hand Film

Well, we are under a barrage of resin increases with a third annoucement posted for January 1st by the major resin mills in the United States. There is nothing we can do to avert this but there are ways to mitigate the affects and help reduce your bottom line costs.

DID YOU KNOW?

The demand for pallet stretch films is continuing to advance in all regions of the world. Although the more established markets of Europe and the U.S. are experiencing a degree of maturity, the developing regions of the world are seeing major investment and growth in the application of pallet stretch films.

There are significant variations among the regions in terms of the film types used. Currently, hand film usage as a proportion of total pallet stretch film demand is lowest in the U.S. , at 42%, with European and Latin American usage being slightly higher at 44%; while, at the other end of the scale, hand film demand in Asia accounts for over 70% of the region's total pallet stretch film usage and is forecast to increase marginally over the next five years driven by increasing demand from China, where hand film usage is very high.

Why is it that the U.S. demand is lower? Automation. If you can machine apply stretch film that is the most economical solution. If you wrap as little as 20 pallets per day by hand, you should contact us regarding the use of a stretch wrap system. If that does not work for you, we do have other alternatives.

Ask about our Fusion product which is a hybrid film unlike conventional or pre-stretched hand films. Fusion is stronger than pre-stretched films but is lighter and easier to use than conventional hand films. Call today to learn more about the Fusion brand of hand stretch film.
