Signode Distributor Sales is pleased to announce the introduction of the BXT2-19 Battery Powered Strapping Tool. The new tool design incorporates the same easy-to-use functionality as the previous generation and improves it with many new features.
The tool is equipped with three main function settings;
1) Manual – Operates the same as the previous BXT-19 tool; hold down tension button until the tool stalls,then press weld button.
2) Semi-Automatic – Hold tension button until desired tension setting is reached, tool will automatically go into the weld cycle. This improves the cycle time and reduces wear by eliminating the ability to “jog” the tension.
3) Fully Automatic – Press tension button once, tool will tension on its own until set tension level is achieved and then go into weld cycle.
The BXT2-19 uses an 18 volt Lithium-Ion battery that delivers more power allowing the tool to pull approximately 880 lbs. of applied tension and provides more cycles per charge. The Lithium-Ion technology allows the battery to be charged at any time without memory effect. The new battery is more environmentally friendly than the previous Nickel Cadmium version.
Additional features include:
- a brush-less motor that reduces wear and increases part life.
- an electrical cord adapter will be available as an option for stationary applications.
The BXT2-19 will replace the previous BXT-19.
