This labeling and monitoring system includes two labels, one serving as the indicator on the package, the other attached to the bill of lading to show that the package was monitored with this system. The indicator label on the package includes blue beads that get trapped in the top of the clear plastic indicator arrow. The more the package is tipped, flipped, or turned, the more blue beads will appear in the arrowhead.
The bead system not only alerts customers to inspect their packages for tipping damage, but it also tells handlers that tipping frequency is being monitored, thereby discouraging rough handling.
